This is one of the best of the Canary Islands and is located in the Atlantic ocean about 200 miles off the West African coast. At just over 2000 square kilometers it is the largest of the seven main Canary Islands. Even though small it has as many different climatic zones as, and you will see numerous diverse types of agriculture from potatoes to orange trees.
The island is relatively small but there are a number of hiking trails, climbing areas and dirt roads for mountain biking for the eager out door person to discover the island. It is perhaps one of the last European paradise Isles. This island offers lush forests, exotic fauna and flora, deserts, mountains, volcanoes, on occasion snow. And an added bonus it has an extremely attractive coastline with impressive beaches.
The most frequented place in (Santa Cruz) and (La Plaza de Espana) by the sea where the structure of (Cabildo de Tenerifa) stands. Castillo the commercial street of the city. it starts from (Plaza de la Candelaria). Behind it, is the sixteenth-century church (La Concepcion). Higher up stands the (Plaza del Principe) next to the San Francisco church with the convent that houses the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts. Located on Pilar street is the eighteenth-century church with the same name stands. This street leads to the finest place in Santa Cruz the parks of Garcia Sanabria were trees from all over the world with dense exotic vegetation. The island has two airports (Tenerife South Airport) also known as (Reina Sofia Airport) and lastly (Los Rodeos Airport).
