The location of Rota is in the south west of Spain in the Cadiz Provence. You can see Cadiz Harbor from the coast of Rota, also Cadiz airport in Jerez De La Frontera is probable the ideal location to fly into.
The town is not a major tourist center, but it does boast fine beaches. Some of the beaches are (Playa de la Costilla) (Rompidillo) )Playa de la Ballena) and (Punta Candor). The Playa de la Costilla and Punta Candor have both been awarded blue flags by the European Union for their high standards of cleanliness and facilities. It's a perfect town to view on foot you can amble down its wide streets from calle Italia. Furthermore, there is Garcia Lopezand San Clemente arriving at the Palacio Municipal Castillo de Luna and the church of Nuestra Senorade la Expectation. From there you can visit the harbor Deportivo Pesquero Astaroth and round off your walk with the view of the Bay of Cadiz to be seen from the Mirador or the Balconde las Almenas. Walking through the center of the town you will come across many interesting shops. A visit to the fish market at the harbors of Pesquero Astaroth. Here, you will see the shellfish and fish catches of the day at one of the most famous fish markets on the Cadiz coast.
