Murcia is located in the South East of Spain approximately 55 km from the Mediterranean coast on the Costa Blanca. Alicante and Alicante airport is located about 70 km from the city. Almeria and Almeria airport is located 180 km away. And Valencia and Valencia airport is 200 km. One of the best areas for beaches is La Manga is the Mar Menor it is a strip of sand approximate 22 km long. Which forms a barrier and encloses the Mar Menor Minor Sea and separates it from the Mediterranean giving higher water temperatures than average.
